SYNOPSIS

Alderman Fitzwarren needs a trainee to work in his chandler's shop, and young Dick needs a job. Alice fancies young Dick and the cat is trying to make friends with the cook.

Dick's training doesn't go smoothly. Fitzwarren is a good salesman but a poor teacher and some very difficult customers add some hilarity to the proceedings.

In between trying to flog dodgy watches to everyone, Arfur Rat foists his two punk nieces off on Fitzwarren as YOPS trainees and they steal a valuable gold candlestick. Poor Dick gets the blame and is forced to sail off and seek his fortune in far-away Morocco.

PC Dixon and the French kipper .... sorry, copper are hot on Arfur's heels and so he and Tail decide to leave the country for a while. They persuade Captain Birdseye to take them to Morocco too. Alice decides to follow Dick and Mrs Floyd tags along. Soon almost the whole cast are on the ship!

The Sultan has LOADSAMONEY but he's also got loads of rats. Dick's cat solves his problems and the travellers set off for London once more.

Back in London the Alderman apologises to Dick. Dick receives his reward and wins Alice's hand. The policemen finally feel Arfur's collar and the punk rats are put to flight.

Everyone gets their just desserts and the panto ends happily - as all panto's should!
